Kinder-Uni

Once a year, the average age on the Westend campus drops significantly. That’s when the Frankfurt Children’s University takes place, and school classes from across the Rhine-Main region flock to the large lecture hall, which can accommodate more than 1,000 children. Morning sessions require registration, but in the afternoon, curious young minds can simply drop by as researchers share their subject areas and enthusiasm in a way that’s tailored to children. The 22nd edition of the Frankfurt Children’s University will explore prehistoric animals from the Messel Pit, Roman currency, teeth and dental health, and the famous Bayeux Tapestry, a kind of comic strip from the 11th century.

As in previous years, two lectures for registered school classes from grades 3 to 6 will take place in the morning, starting at 9:30 and 11:30 AM respectively.

No registration is required for the afternoon session at 4 PM. However, we kindly ask larger groups to contact us in advance via email.
