Workshops at the MGGU

Giersch Museum of Goethe University

The Museum Giersch at Goethe University is an interdisciplinary forum for art and science. It hosts exhibitions of social relevance that create spaces for exchange between Goethe University and the diverse urban community. The extensive educational program accompanying the exhibitions includes lectures, artist talks, and other events aimed at visitors of all ages.

Special workshops are offered for schoolchildren for each exhibition, combining a short guided tour with a practical activity: During the exhibition “Solastalgia: Walks in Changed Landscapes,” the workshops will focus on landscape paintings and portraits of trees. “The Garden Protocol” will deal with the coexistence of humans, animals, plants, and AI.

Free tours are offered for teachers, introducing them to the themes of the exhibition and explaining the educational program. The dates for the upcoming exhibitions are: October 23, 2025, and April 16, 2026, both starting at 6 p.m.
