“Ancient languages” at university and school

  • The Institute of Classical Philology offers Latin and Greek students the following opportunities for cooperation and support:
  • Individual insights into the study of Greek and Latin, academic advising
  • Sample university visit days for school classes (attendance at lectures and seminars in classical philology, cafeteria lunch, question and answer session with lecturers and students)
  • Individual events on specific topics (grammar lessons, reading authors, realia, etc.) with the participation of teacher training students
  • Guided tours of modern Latin inscriptions in Frankfurt for school classes
  • Arrangement of private tutoring and Abitur preparation in Latin and Greek
  • Student internships

  • Location: In schools or on the Westend campus
  • Type of event: Seminar or project day
  • Grade level: Upper secondary school (younger students also possible by arrangement)
  • Prior knowledge: Latin or Greek lessons
  • Registration: Individual registration for tutoring, Abitur preparation, or internships; 
    group registration via the school
