School at Ried
Founded in 1972, the School at Ried serves as the secondary school for the Frankfurt district of Bergen-Enkheim and the eastern part of Frankfurt. The school campus combines three educational tracks: grammar school with upper grades, intermediate school, and general secondary school.
The educational approach at the School at Ried focuses on holistic personal development. The goal is for students to learn independently and joyfully in a trusting atmosphere shaped by democratic values, allowing them to fully develop their potential and talents.
Its location near the natural surroundings of Enkheimer Ried, modern scientific facilities, and diverse extracurricular partnerships foster a strong emphasis on STEM subjects.
Annual student exchanges with partner schools in France, England, Italy, the USA, and Japan, along with a three-week internship abroad in Birmingham, UK, for 20 ninth-grade students, highlight the school’s international focus.
The School at Ried also has a long-standing tradition of excellence in sports and music, which are successfully integrated into everyday school life.
