Riedberg High School
Founded in 2009, Riedberg High School is an International Encounter School with a focus on natural sciences and bilingual education.
The school is exceptionally well-equipped for modern experimental teaching in the natural sciences and offers a variety of collaborations with external learning centers, such as universities and the Junior Engineer Academy. Bilingual instruction starts in grades 5/6 with one hour of Mathematics taught in English. In grade 7, Biology is taught in English, followed by Geography in grade 8. Starting in grade 7, students can choose French, Latin, or Spanish as their second foreign language, with Chinese offered as a third foreign language beginning in grade 9.
Examples of international collaboration include Comenius projects with France, Spain, Italy, and Norway, as well as student exchanges with China, the USA, Italy, and Senegal. As a full-day school with educational midday supervision, students can participate in projects until 4 PM in areas like research, sports, theater, music, and art, along with homework support.
