Franziskanergymnasium Kreuzburg
The Franziskanergymnasium Kreuzburg is a private church-affiliated school operated by the German Franciscan Province of Saint Elizabeth.
Since 2013, the school has followed a nine-year program leading to the Abitur in 13th grade. From 5th to 10th grade, students are taught in class groups, with the curriculum placing a strong focus on core subjects during this time. In addition to the main instruction in the traditional range of subjects, students benefit from a Free Learning Area (FLB). The FLB provides opportunities to explore personal interests, supports students' personal development, and allows them to set their own priorities. Another supplement to the curriculum is the extracurricular activity (AG) program.
Starting in 11th grade, when students enter the upper school, class groups are dissolved, and students are assigned to tutor groups. Instruction is then organized into courses chosen according to individual focus areas.
The school is fundamentally guided by its Franciscan values and profile.
