Center for Scientific Computing (CSC)

Excellent research thrives in an optimal research environment. The Center for Scientific Computing at Goethe University Frankfurt supports researchers from various disciplines comprehensively with cutting-edge digital services.

The Center for Scientific Computing (CSC) is the central point of contact for researchers at Goethe University regarding digital services. These services cover all stages of the research cycle — from project conception and research design to data collection and analysis, publication, and knowledge transfer.

The CSC operates two HPC systems, Fuchs and Goethe-NHR, the latter being a supraregional Tier 2 system within the NHR South-West cooperative network. In addition to providing and consolidating a wide selection of tools and software, it offers researchers an extensive range of training opportunities.

The CSC team also advises researchers on the optimal use of all services and develops new offerings as needed.

Overview of Services

The Center for Scientific Computing provides researchers with suitable digital tools and integrates all Goethe University offerings.

High Performance Computing

The Center for Scientific Computing operates its own High Performance Computing Cluster and expands its capabilities through collaborations such as with NHR South-West.
