The EU and International Research Funding team at Goethe University assists researchers in applying for grants at the European and international levels. The team provides information, guidance, and services related to funding opportunities, supports projects from the initial idea to their launch, and offers comprehensive help throughout the application and project phases.

Here’s how they can support you:

  • Guidance and information on European and international funding opportunities (including Horizon Europe, the European Research Council, and Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions)
  • Information sessions on EU research funding
  • Individual advice from the initial idea to project launch
  • Expert guidance and thorough administrative support during the application process (including questions about participation rules, cost calculations, and help with electronic submissions)
  • Administrative assistance throughout the entire project lifecycle: contract reviews in collaboration with the legal department, contract negotiations and signing, as well as amendments
  • Advice on start-up financing for EU grant applications

Brussels Office of Goethe University

  • Conveniently located near the European Commission, the European Parliament, and the European Research Council (ERC)
  • The premises are available for conferences, meetings, and events with European and international participation, as well as for planning and initiating EU project proposals and building connections with European organizations and networks in politics, business, and European civil society. Additionally, the office serves as a workspace for university members during official activities in Brussels or can be used for study visits with master’s students.
